Spirit of Breckland photography competition
Breckland photographers are being encouraged to get creative for a photography competition which will see entries displayed around the district. The deadline for the competition is approaching and residents who think they could be the next David Bailey have until Monday 17 August to find that winning shot.
The competition has two additional categories for the under 20’s this year – 11 to 14 years and 15 to 19 years, entrants are allowed to use camera phones and digital cameras in these categories. Prizes on offer include gift vouchers to spend in the Norfolk Camera Centre and The Gallery in Dereham and Studio Khyber in Watton.
All entries must be taken by hand to participating venues in the five market towns where photographers will be required to complete an entry form when submitting their photographs. Participating venues are; Wayland House in Watton, Zuari in Attleborough, Swaffham Community Centre, Dereham Library and Kings House, King Street in Thetford.
The entries will be displayed at venues around the district and the public will be given the chance to vote for their favourite in the People’s Choice category. The competition is open to everyone and to all ages.
