Just the job for Swaffham

Following successful jobs fairs in Dereham and Watton, Breckland Council and JobCentre Plus are working together once again to provide a jobs fair in Swaffham this October. They are joined by two of Norfolk’s leading housing providers, Orbit East and Cotman Housing Association, who provide a diverse range of housing services across the county including affordable homes to rent, shared ownership schemes and specialist accommodation for people who need support and care to live within the community.
The jobs fair will bring together job seekers and employers seeking to recruit. Entry to the jobs fair is free and everyone is welcome, whether you’re looking to change career, improve your skills or start up your own business. The fair will provide a great opportunity to speak directly with employers, who are recruiting now, about a wide range of jobs. You’ll be able to pick up information about the benefits you may be entitled to whilst job seeking and details of local training and development opportunities.
JobCentre Plus will provide free careers advice and guidance including support with updating CVs and interview skills.
Paul Claussen, Executive member for Economic and Housing said; “Looking for work can be a huge a challenge but we hope the Swaffham jobs fair will provide some of the help that is needed. Working with two of Norfolk’s leading housing providers will enable us to reach even more jobseekers across Breckland. We hope the range of careers advice and information on training opportunities will assist people who are looking for work, wish to change jobs or are considering new career opportunities”
Cotman Managing Director, Vivien Farrow, said
“As leading social landlords in the area, Cotman and Orbit East are pleased to be working with Breckland Council and Dereham JobCentre in this valuable initiative designed to signpost and encourage people seeking work but unsure how to access the opportunities which exist to improve their skills base’’
Sue Coulson, Managing Director of OGL Housing, said
“Orbit East and Cotman share a commitment to developing communities and we both recognise the important role that employment can play in that. We are pleased to support this jobs fair”
